Mon Cheri, French for 'my dear' or 'sweetheart', carries a deep significance beyond its romantic connotations.
You see, 'Cheri' is more than just a word—it's a cherished family name passed down by my beloved great aunt, Rhonda Cheri. Rhonda was an incredible woman, brimming with love and a spirited zest for life. Growing up, I admired her greatly and aspired to emulate her loving yet fiery nature. We not only shared the Cheri name but also a bond that shaped my character.
Sadly, we said goodbye to Rhonda a few years ago after her brave battle with cancer, leaving a void in my heart.
Two and a half years ago, I welcomed my own daughter, Genevieve Cheri. From the moment I knew she was on her way, I knew she would carry the Cheri legacy with grace and strength—just like Rhonda. Genevieve reminds me daily of her great, great aunt's spirit and warmth.
